That’s right—resist the urge to answer those “quick questions” by heading them off with a few of your own.

Can this wait until your one-on-one? Should you schedule that one-on-one? Or if it’s so quick, requiring little back and forth, can it be answered via email?

If all signs point to ‘No’, then go forth and make yourself available!
