Unimportant. Unvalued. Insignificant. Those three little words painfully—and accurately—describe what it feels like to be “phubbed.” You might be asking yourself, “What in the WORLD does “phubbed” even mean?” It’s a coined term for SNUBBING someone in favor of your PHONE.

Yes, it’s gotten so bad that we have a special word for it now. While our smartphone is an incredibly powerful tool, it can also lead to an unhealthy obsession. When this happens, it isn’t just unproductive—it damages relationships, as well.

Today, let’s make a promise to ourselves to put the phone down when we’re talking to another person. Let’s give our full, undivided attention and build that relationship.
