Small business owners are always looking for more sales, right? The problem is—in the middle of all the daily chaos of running a business—they start missing out on the small, simple practices. These tiny things make a MASSIVE difference in sales conversion.

“What tiny things?” you ask.

My answer: The Four Neglected Sales Best Practices video. Watch…just don’t feel bad if occasionally you shout “D’oh!” when you hear one you’ve missed!

As simple as those four tips sound, you’d be surprised how often they’re forgotten. I see these mistakes almost daily while coaching business owners.

Making payment difficult is pretty much saying, “I don’t want your money!” Failing to listen is pretty much saying, “I don’t care what you think!”

Don’t underestimate a customer’s need to feel comfortable. Overzealous sales tactics have the potential to stress out—and scare off—even the best sales leads. Also, make the sales process a team effort by getting in front of all the decision-makers. This helps you work with, as opposed to against, your customers.

Your turn: Which best sales practices would you add to this list? Comment and let me know if I’ve left anything out!
