How multitasking can be dangerous

Your drive home—that cherished time when you enjoy uninterrupted peace, minus the traffic, of course. It’s your time to contemplate your day and formulate new ideas. Or just remember what you need to pick up from the store.

Before you pick up the phone to record a video of your amazing idea to share with the world—or just jot down that gallon of milk—stop and ask yourself: Is this important?

If yes, find a place to pull over first! Then jot it down for later, when you can devote your full attention.

If no, let it go and focus on the road ahead.

Multitasking is never productive, but it’s dangerous to do it in the car. No idea is worth a life.
