“I don’t even know HOW to have fun anymore!”

When I ask someone, “What do you do for fun?” I often get confused looks. Sometimes, they struggle to come up with something off the top of their head. Many laugh like it’s a joke.

I spoke to a fantastic group from MPI Greater New York at the Empire Steak House in New York City about this very topic. By the way, this was one of the most beautiful event venues I’ve had the pleasure of speaking at, too!

I asked the audience the same question I ask everyone in an attempt to rediscover fun: What did you USE to do for fun?

Think back to a few years ago or even to when you were a kid. Write down some of the things you remember and find ways to reintroduce it into your routine. Perhaps with a little tweaking for your current stage of life.

Then, once you have some ideas, create an ongoing pattern of doing those activities! Break out your calendar and schedule them now. You’ll be more motivated and productive for it.

I’d love to hear some of your ideas or hobbies you once enjoyed. Please share them in the comments below! Bonus points if you confirm you’ve scheduled a time to do it.

Conferences can get a little dull. Avoid that by booking a fun speaker—ME—who shows you how to enjoy life again while being productive! DaveCrenshaw.com/speaker.
