Next, let’s talk about how you can find the time to strike that ideal balance in your life. There’s quite a lot of advice out there on this topic, and most of it can be very helpful. However, the more complex the advice, the less likely someone is to take action on it.
So, let’s keep it short and sweet. Here’s my tip: Grow your focus just a little bit each day!
For example, pull out a timer for your next task. Start the timer, and focus on the task without a single interruption for five minutes.
Then for the next task, try to focus for eight minutes…and so on. I like to make it a game by trying to beat my own record!
Before you know it, you’ll be getting more work done in less time, which means more time to enjoy life outside those office walls.
