Productivity Tip: Use headphones to reduce distractions at work

As someone who’s “off the charts” ADHD, I’m easily distracted. This personal challenge has forced me to get creative when it comes to staying focused. One of the most common distractions when working tends to be random noises.

You know the kind…

…Conversations between teammates. (Or family, if you work from home like me!).

…Loud noises outside like a car. (People like to use the road near my house as a drag strip!)

…Someone digging in their backyard with a backhoe. (You know who you are, neighbor!)

You get the idea. But you and I can’t control those types of distractions, so what do we do?

For me, I’ve found white noise works wonders!

Depending on your personal preference, you can play your favorite playlist.

Whether you use headphones or speakers, replacing distracting noise with focusing sounds can help you regain control.

I’m curious. What would you play to keep you focused?
