Many business owners detach their business from their family. They take a “lone wolf” attitude to work. Yet focused entrepreneurs—balanced entrepreneurs—more closely resemble the family dog. Really.

Play along with me for a moment. I’m giving you a 90 second treat on why every small business should be a family business. Now, who’s a good entrepreneur? Who is it?

Every small business is a family business.

Now why would I say that? What if you don’t have family members in your business?

Well the choices you make as an entrepreneur do affect your family. This is why I suggest you make sure you work a healthy number of hours, so that you can go home, rested, to spend time with your loved ones.

Now what if you don’t have family?

Your choices as a business owner still affect the families of your employees. We want to provide a healthy work environment and healthy working hours, so that they can come back to work rested and focused.

So I’d like you to share in the comments section below—how do you maintain a healthy balance between your business and your family?

Also if you’ve got any questions you’d like me to answer in a future video, ask that in the comments section below.

Thanks for watching. Now go spend some quality time with someone you love.
