Small business owners experience an emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows. But too much negativity can suddenly turn your entrepreneurial excursion into a tower of terror.

Even though entrepreneurs are fairly optimistic people, occasionally they get down on themselves.

I learned a great principle from my children. That is that children are always giving each other high fives–or fist bumps–however you want to think about it.

The idea is that you report good things on a regular basis. Find a friend, a mentor, or a coach and create accountability where you give a regular report of your high fives—something great that happened to you that day or that week. And I’d like you to do that right now.
